Get Outlook to automatically dialup

How do I get Outlook to automatically dialup to check my AOL Mail?

We normally recommend that you set the connection setting for your AOL mail accounts in AOL to connect using a Local Area Network (LAN). This means you will have to establish a connection to the internet first before being able to check mail from Outlook.

Outlook can also be configured to automatically dialup a specific connection – AOL or other ISP – to check your AOL Mail.

Follow the steps shown below:

A list of all the accounts configured in Outlook is displayed. Select the account that you want to automatically initiate a connection and click on the Properties button.

The account properties window is displayed. Select the connection tab. Select the Connect using my phone line option and select the connection that you want to use under the Use the following Dial Up networking connection menu box.
