Follow the procedure given below to turn off SSL in Outlook / Outlook Express.

SOLUTION

1. Start Outlook / Outlook Express
2. Tools menu of Outlook Express
3. Select the Accounts… menu
4. The Internet Accounts dialog should appear
5. Click on the AOL account you have created and click on the properties button.
6. The properties window will be displayed. Click on the Advanced tab to see the window shown below. Unlock the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box. The port number should read 25 for Outgoing mail and 110 for Incoming Mail.
7. Click OK.
